Welcome !

Hi! Welcome to my page. I hope this shows you a little bit of what I am about. I have included a variation of items that consist of my hobbies to my previous work experience. I’m glad you came to see my page and if you get a small feel for what I believe in and represent it would be very much appreciated.

Letter Of Intent

Dear Reader,
I am extremely interested and enthusiastic person when it comes to any job or task. I am an easy learner and a great adapter. I am a Rider University student with an expected graduation date of 2013 and would love the opportunity to be a position at your establishment to assist people.

I feel that I fit best into almost any position because I am a people person and I have learned to deal with multiple personalities. I learned to deal with fast money and different kinds of people that came into my prior job. I learned very quickly to handle college students to elderly individuals in a short amount of time. I can also work under pressure because at the bakery that I worked at had nights that were chaotic and I was able to deal with the chaos by organizing my ideas and putting them to action and was able to remain calm.

I have fresh ideas that are ready to be put to work. If applicable I wish to further discuss my experience with you. I can be contacted at your will via email at huntermi@rider.edu I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. Thank you for taking the time to review my resume below.

Sincerely,
Milana Hunter

Resume

Here is my Resume.

Biography

I was born in Longbranch, New Jersey but I have lived in New York, Georgia, and then finally back to New Jersey. I spent most of my life in Blackwood, which is located in South Jersey. I went to a high school there called, Highland Regional High School . During High School I worked as a cashier and hostess at my family owned business called Valencia Bakery. I loved each and every cutomer that walked in and treated them all with respect. Unfortunatley, after three years of business my father moved and I could not move with him. After it relocated I chose to go to Rider University to pursue my secondary education because this was the only school I felt was just for me. My family greatly influenced my decision to go to Rider as well.

In my family my parents are currently divorced and I now live with my mother and younger brother in Cherry Hill. I have two brothers, one older and one younger than me. I also have one sister. I maintain a close relationship with my mother and the rest of my family because I believe that being close with your relatives will keep you closer to yourself. In other words, by knowing your family, you get a better sense of who you are as a person. I have school spirit and I do try to be involved in reaching out to my peers to become leaders. Which is why I am a member of my school’s Black Student Union (BSU) and LASO.

Academic Work

In my Speech class I did an assignment that required the creation of a powerpoint. The assignment was what our passions were and I picked my family's background of being Puerto Rican.

I also wrote a paper for my Intro to Expository Writing class, which required me to compare and contrast two novels.

My Poetry

"I’m so glad I got this off my chest
I feel better that now I only want the best
I’m learning to forget the past
I have a new passion and it's going to last
I feel relieved and powerful
My strength will get stronger and never fall
I love my skin and my mind
I’m not looking for you, you’ll just have to find
What I stand for will only represent
The good things in life I will no longer resent
When I think of my far from perfect flaws
I know that everyone has too, been through it all
Learn by all my mistakes
And learn from what I can take
Say I wont allow it anymore
Don’t look back and close the door
Its not worth my heart anymore
Look forward to what life has in store
Life as I know it should only get better
If it doesn’t, I know I’ll only get wiser."
