Biography

I was born in Longbranch, New Jersey but I have lived in New York, Georgia, and then finally back to New Jersey. I spent most of my life in Blackwood, which is located in South Jersey. I went to a high school there called, Highland Regional High School . During High School I worked as a cashier and hostess at my family owned business called Valencia Bakery. I loved each and every cutomer that walked in and treated them all with respect. Unfortunatley, after three years of business my father moved and I could not move with him. After it relocated I chose to go to Rider University to pursue my secondary education because this was the only school I felt was just for me. My family greatly influenced my decision to go to Rider as well.

In my family my parents are currently divorced and I now live with my mother and younger brother in Cherry Hill. I have two brothers, one older and one younger than me. I also have one sister. I maintain a close relationship with my mother and the rest of my family because I believe that being close with your relatives will keep you closer to yourself. In other words, by knowing your family, you get a better sense of who you are as a person. I have school spirit and I do try to be involved in reaching out to my peers to become leaders. Which is why I am a member of my school’s Black Student Union (BSU) and LASO.
